WHAT MAKES JAMBO UNIQUE?

There are many groups which conduct outdoor events and social development work in the Tokyo area.  What makes JAMBO unique among these?  JAMBO is THE ONLY group whose purpose is to provide fun activities for people while, through these activities, providing support for the less fortunate.  The \500 collected on the hikes is used to support a childrenfs home in Tokyo, expand JAMBO programs, and as donations to international groups working with environmental protection and peoplefs development, many of the groups which have limited funds because of their being located in areas which are considered too gdistanth for people to be concerned about (especially Africa).  The donations made at charity parties are used for the same purpose.  People can also enjoy the volunteer activities while doing hands-on productive work to better the environment.  Please check out JAMBOfs homepage

(http://www.geocities.jp/jambodave2004jp/index.html) to see how are funds are used and/or the various activities we carry out.  In short, by participating in JAMBO, you not only have a wonderful time, but are helping the natural environment and/or people who are less fortunate than you are.  What a wonderful combination!!!  We also encourage people who have ideas and programs theyfd like to implement to do so.

JAMBO also provides a variety of services to those involved in the areas of environmental integration.  Some of the services we provide are:

1)      a resource library of groups around the world working with nature (restoration, etc.), social development, and spirituality

2)      leading projects on the Kanto Plain dealing with nature (hikes, nature clean-ups, etc.) and Charity Parties (especially to support development/environmental protection groups in East/South Africa), and introducing people to trustworthy groups and taking part in their programs (related to environmental restoration and spirituality)

3)      a center in Takadanobaba which is open for people and groups to use to introduce their projects/businesses (if related to JAMBO issues) or hold Charities of their own

4)      a wonderful network of people (in Japan and internationally) working in these areas which we can hook you up with.

Feel free to contact David at jambodave2003@ybb.ne.jp if interested in any of the above.
