Here’s a list of groups JAMBO financially supports (internationally)
and/or helps out through volunteer activities (in Japan). Abalimi Bezekhaya - This is an organization working with development and environmental restoration in Cape Flats. Cape Flats is an impoverished area outside Cape Town which was partitioned as a "Black" residential area under the apartheid regime. Due to poor management, overcrowding, and the unjust policies of the apartheid era,Cape Flats became environmentally devastated. Abalimi Bezekhaya is working to "re-green" the area by promoting gardening and tree planting efforts. http://www.abalimi.org.za/ Campfire Association - An organization in Zimbabwe which works with reforestation and community development http://www.usaid.gov/zw/html/NaturalResources.html Fr. Wildlife College - A special college whose
purpose is to provide protected area managers from throughout Africa with the motivation and
relevant skills to manage their areas and associated wildlife populations

which supports poor people in developing countries (Homepage: www.oxfamamerica.org) Ashoka - A global organization which finds and supports social entreprenerus, outstanding individulas with ideas for far reaching social change.. http://www.ashoka.org/ ACCION International - an NGO which supports poor people in developing countries who are trying to start their own businesses. http://www.accion.org/ -JAPAN- Sayuri Childrens Home - A child care facility for children from troubled homes. JAMBO holds English classes there and has periodic programs for the children. http://www.m-caritas.jp/welfare/05/welcome.html SHU - The Environment NPO "Trees and Environment Network Association" has a project called "TAMAZO." "TAMAZO" manages and protects the forest around the TAMA ZOO. Midori Tsukuri Forum - The Tama Forest/"Great Nature School" does reforestation (moving towards more biodiversity), makes nature paths and a studies different area's plants. http://www.moridukuri.jp/
